Hallucination
An AI system stating something false with confidence. In brand terms it is a reputation risk, and a badly structured site makes it more likely.
Heading Structure
The order and nesting of H1 to H6. It is the outline a machine reads to understand what a page covers and which passage answers what.

Headless Commerce
An architecture separating the storefront from the commerce backend, connected by APIs. It gives control over how a page renders, which matters because crawlers and AI agents read what renders.

Helpful Content
Google’s standard for content made mainly to help a person rather than to rank. Once a separate update, it was folded into the core ranking systems in 2024 and is no longer reported alone.

HowTo Schema
The Schema.org type describing step-by-step instructions. Google retired its rich result in 2023, so it now serves machine comprehension of a page rather than its appearance in search.

Hreflang
Markup telling search engines which language and region a page is for. Easy to specify, easy to get wrong, and errors are usually silent.
HTTP Status Code
The three-digit response a server gives for every request. 200 means success, 301 a permanent move, 404 missing, 500 a server error.
Hub and Spoke
A content structure with one broad page linking to many specific ones, each linking back. The simplest way to signal depth on a subject.
