E-E-A-T
Experience, Expertise, Authoritativeness and Trustworthiness. Not a score in the algorithm, but the framework Google’s human raters use, which shapes what the algorithm is tuned toward.
Embedding
A numeric representation of meaning, used to find passages that answer a question even when they share no words with it. Why keyword matching no longer describes retrieval.
Entity
A thing a search engine recognizes as distinct: a company, a person, a product, a place. Keywords are strings; entities are things, and AI search runs on things.
