RAG
Retrieval-augmented generation. The model fetches documents first, then writes its answer from them. It is why a page published last week can be cited by a model that never trained on it.
We work on this: Generative Engine Optimization (GEO)
Redirect
An instruction sending one URL to another. A 301 is permanent and passes signals; a 302 is temporary, and using one where a 301 belongs is a common way to lose rankings in a migration.
We work on this: Website Migration SEO
Referral Traffic
Visits arriving from a link on another site. Small for most businesses, and a useful check on whether off-site work is reaching anyone.
Review Schema
The Schema.org type describing a single review of an item, with its author, rating and text. AggregateRating summarizes many reviews; Review marks up one. Both attach to the thing reviewed.

Rich Result
A search result enhanced with extra detail drawn from structured data: ratings, prices, availability, recipes. Eligibility comes from markup, display is Google’s choice, and features do get retired.
Rich Results Test
Google’s tool for checking whether a page’s structured data is eligible for a rich result. It renders the page the way Google does, which makes it a valid check on a JavaScript site.

Robots.txt
A file at the root of a site telling crawlers where they may go. It controls crawling, not indexing, and it is public, so it is not a security measure.
